Jess's Story
Although she started her blog back in 2016, through the pandemic, Jess realised her hobby could soon develop into a living. She started posting recipes to help people and engage with them during a time when human contact was limited. And the success of Just Jess Food has seen it grow into a community of likeminded people, trying and experimenting with new foods and drinks – as well as tips for travel and lifestyle culture.

One recipe at a time
It's about creating lots of super-easy recipes that people will make, be inspired by and Jess is always taking inspiration from new foods and fresh, local produce. She loves supporting small, family-owned businesses and she’s so enthusiastic about learning and experiencing new things, because you can find inspiration anywhere – as long as you keep looking for it.
From the finest local ingredients, experimenting with new flavours and supporting small, family businesses, Jess can inspire with her dedication to ethically sourced ingredients – and her continuous pursuit of sharing the best Scotland and the world has to offer.
"My love for food started when I was a child, my mum was a chef, so I’ve always been into food. When I eat out, I love to ask the staff their favourite dish, I also like to try the specials on the menu, and anywhere that I travel I try the national dish. I find inspiration from anywhere and in anything."
