Patricia's Story

Patricia’s always been deeply passionate about interiors, food, and nature. She spent her childhood running around between her father's restaurants in Gothenburg, Sweden where she grew up, but also the countryside of southern France and it’s this background that makes her very connected to nature and inspired by being outdoors.

Nurturing Patricia's sense of adventure

Patricia and her husband bought an 1860 house overlooking the sea, and they started a new adventure by renovating and restyling this property. Their interior style is inspired by her multicultural background and the great outdoors, and she’s harnessing the memories of Italian tiles, French antiques and Scandinavian modernism that are slowly merging to create a perfect home.

"For me, adventure means the small moments in your life, just making a cocktail or reading a book in front of the fire or buying an antique table. It’s not about adrenaline, but creating special moments in your everyday. Just those small, very specific but also very beautiful seconds that can mean something truly special, and can be an adventure in itself."

Home is where

The adventure is…

When she moved into her home, she wanted to make sure that it reflected her diverse background and interests. She pulled elements from her various cultures and her love of the outdoors, and integrated them into her new space. The result is a colourful and eclectic home that feels like a reflection of Patricia herself. From the bright terracotta tiles in the fireplace to the flower-filled features, every element has a story and a meaning.

For Patricia, there is nothing better than getting out into nature and feeling inspired by all that surrounds her. Whether it's a simple walk through the woods or a more challenging expedition, she loves pushing herself and discovering new things. Foraging is also a favourite activity, as she loves finding edible plants and mushrooms to cook with. But no matter what she's doing, Patricia loves to be in the moment and savour every experience and making the ordinary, extraordinary.

"I think coming from different backgrounds and coming from different countries means that you're scattered around a little bit and because of that, you always want to create a sense of home and something very special for yourself."

Her love of nature and adventure has always been a big part of her life. She has a knack for making even the most ordinary ingredients taste exotic and exciting. Whether she's whipping up a storm in the kitchen or mixing drinks for her friends, Patricia always brings her signature flair and flavour to everything she does. Patricia's designs are also informed by her love of nature. She often uses reclaimed wood and other natural materials in her work, which gives it a warm, rustic feel.

Slow living is something that Patricia is passionate about. For her, it's not just about taking things slow; it's about living with intention and purpose.
